DoSlap Privacy Policy

Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to the DoSlap mobile app with package and bundle identifier com.vvi.doslap.donotslap.

Information DoSlap Processes

• Motion sensor data: accelerometer and related motion readings are used to detect slaps, knocks, shakes, and intensity. Raw motion streams are processed locally and are not uploaded as raw sensor logs.
• Audio choices: selected sound packs, custom sound settings, trim points, pitch, speed, volume, and impact-level assignments are stored on your device.
• Imported and recorded audio: custom sounds you import or record remain on your device unless you choose to publish them to Voice Community or share them through your operating system's share flow.
• Voice Community data: when you publish a voice post, Firebase stores the audio file, post title, public display name, timestamps, likes, and comments needed to show the public community feed.
• App settings: preferences such as haptics, cooldown, screen awake mode, background listening, language, and calibration are stored locally.
• Service diagnostics: Firebase services may receive technical data needed for app configuration, hosting, backend functions, and service reliability. The current DoSlap build does not include Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics SDKs. DoSlap must not log raw sensor streams or imported audio content.

Permissions

• Motion sensors: used to detect safe slaps, knocks, shakes, and phone movement.
• Notifications on Android: used only when you enable background listening with a foreground service.
• Foreground service on Android: used to keep listening active while DoSlap is outside the foreground.
• Microphone: used only when you choose Record Voice for a custom sound or a Voice Community post.
• File access through the system picker: used only when you import a custom sound. DoSlap should request the narrowest platform access available.

DoSlap does not require camera, contacts, location, SMS, or call log permissions. Microphone access is optional and only used for recording.

How Information Is Used

• To detect motion triggers and play sounds.
• To calibrate sensitivity for your device and case.
• To save preferences, sound choices, and local history.
• To provide Android background-listening setup and troubleshooting.
• To operate app configuration, legal links, backend functions, and service diagnostics.
• To publish and moderate public Voice Community posts when you explicitly share audio.

Sharing

DoSlap does not sell your personal information. DoSlap may share limited diagnostic or configuration data with Firebase services used to operate the app. Voice Community posts are public by design: other users can play, like, comment on, and download published audio. When you choose to share a result card, your device's operating system controls the destination you select.

Retention and Deletion

Local settings, calibration, history, and imported or locally recorded sounds remain on your device until you delete them, reset app data, or uninstall DoSlap. Published Voice Community audio, comments, and likes remain in Firebase until removed through product moderation or deletion workflows. Firebase diagnostic data is retained according to the Firebase services configured for the production app.

Children

DoSlap is not directed to children under 13. Users should follow the safe-use instructions and avoid hitting devices hard enough to cause damage.

International Processing

Firebase and platform services may process data in countries other than your own, depending on service configuration and provider infrastructure.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when DoSlap changes. Material changes should be reflected in the app and store metadata.
